Absolutely gorgeous day - perfect for motorcycling. Left Strawberry Plains Tn at 8 am headed out I-40 east then on to I-81 north to Roanoke. Exited to US Hwy 11 and Va 43 to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rode the BRP up to I-64 then headed east to Charlottesville. There we took US 29 to Culpeper VA where we stopped for the night. Bummer - there is a horse show all week in the area and motel rooms are at a premium. Finally found a Best Western (which was originally a Holiday Inn - go figure). Prices jacked up like Sturgis. Mileage today 437 miles.
Here are some shots of entering VA, a curio shop across the street from where we gassed up and a couple shots on the Blue Ridge. Louis is going to look for his cable for his camera so we can also download his photos.
