Day 22, Wednesday, August 1st

Did not get to post this night since did not have internet service. But we spent the day traveling through the beautiful Canadian Rockies in Jasper & Banff National Parks. Rode the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. This road traverses the backbone of the mountains and led us near several glaciers. Left Valemount early and it was cold (about 40 degrees) and got colder in the mountains but warmed up nicely by mid-afternoon. Here are photos of only some of the sights - just too many to post them all.

This is the falls. Can't imagine how salmon can swim upstream against this current.

Mountain goat beside the road.

Black bear forraging for berries.

Say what?

Our accommodations for the night.

Columbia glacier.

Planning the route for tomorrow.
